Find more photos like this on BLC World WOW!! Summer has arrived in Bristol - enjoy it because it may not last that long. Another dozen new students this Monday to be welcomed. And some dates for your diaries. Firstly, this Thursday after school we have an opening celebration party for the new TOP FLOOR - still waiting to find a winner for the names of rooms competition. Then, a bit further in the future - May 29th is the next BANK HOLIDAY and there will be another trip out of Bristol ending with a chance to see JOHNNY's Blues Brothers band playing a gig. And JOHNNY (yet again) has his new play, VENOM, at the ALMA THEATRE, opening night which we all intend to be at is on JUNE 24th with a few surprise appearances from some people you will recognise. This summer will be full of events and a load of fun I feel. One last reminder - BLC Football Stars are playing OISE Language School next Friday, May 16th, at the CLifton Downs at 5pm. Let's see you all there supporting our team and perhaps joining us for a bite and a pint after the match.

There are a lot of nice people about

I think there is a really nice feeling around the school, happy, friendly and even hard working. One of the nice things of the week for me was when certain students asked about us collecting money for the cyclone victims in BURMA. What a good idea!! And we want to make this a centre points for our Opening Celebration for the new… Continue

Some updated news

Well, we have some great characters around at the moment. congratulations to Badr for getting a 6.5 in IELTS, sympathies for Mazoug for his ironing problems and thanks to Yorick for being a good sport and a perfect double for Boris Johnson, the new mayor of London. All good stuff. And we have some old friends returning over the next couple of weeks - Ali and Liliana from Venezuala - no more cornflakes dinners for Eduardo, and Khalid is returning from Kuwait with his brother. Then next week we ar… Continue

Football is BIG

Always good to see a lot of our students at WALKABOUT for all the big matches. Tonite was no exception and thank you all the students who congratulated me as a CHELSEA fan for their winning game TONIGHT. So it's an all British final in Moscow - Man U versus Chelsea, a match we all must watch at the Walkabout on the 21st May, just before I go on holiday for two weeks in France to see my family. What a night that will be !!!!
